The Executive Decision Maker (EDM) was sold by Radio Shack (Tandy), starting some time in the 70's. It sold for $10.95, that would be about $74 in 2020 dollars.
At that time LED's were just becoming inexpensive enough to be used in consumer products, making the EDM quite a high-tec toy. Collectable EDM's sell for $10 to $25 today.
When the ASK button was pressed the LED's under the answers would flash sequentially finally stopping on the answer. A beep would sound as each led flashed. The sound came from a small speaker on the bottom of the unit. The EDM was powered by a 9 volt battery.
Executive Decision Maker 2.0 creates the original sounds, but unlike the original EDM, displays the answer as text.
